Joseph J. Messina is currently President, Managing Partner & Co-Founder of InterContinental Beverage Capital.
His corporate experience has been centered upon traditional merchant banking and direct investment activities in young emerging companies. He has an extensive financial and operational background assisting entrepreneurs in the development of growth to exit strategies. His wide-ranging experience includes capital formation advisory (debt and equity) for both privately held and publicly traded companies where he has successfully completed turnarounds, joint ventures, acquisitions, and debt/equity financings. His industry experience covers a broad range including financial services, beverage, consumer goods, manufacturing, healthcare services, and corporate advisory. During the course of his diverse business career, he has successfully participated as a principal in several successful exits with private equity and venture capital groups, including the acquisition of Mako Marine International, where he became the President and Chief Operating Officer. He helped lead the turn-around team for Mako to an eventual public offering and successful sale of the company.
His early career included being President of the equipment finance group for Bank of Ireland First Holdings after a company which he co-founded was acquired by the bank.
Additionally, Mr. Messina owned a member seat on the American Stock Exchange until its acquisition by the NYSE.
