Krystal dedicated her expertise in research and development to the fields of biotechnology and pharmaceutical science for over a decade before launching Juice Joint. From initial concept and development to testing and scaling up, Krystal guided a myriad of formulations from theory to large-scale production.
Leveraging this experience, as well as her innate love for from-scratch cooking, Krystal brought her innovative and analytical prowess to life with Juice Joint.
Krystal was first inspired, like many entrepreneurs, by a problem that needed solving. Matthew, who was working in a music studio at the time, was coming home each day smelling like cannabis. The issue lay in the fact that musicians and performers rely heavily on their vocal instrument, which was being continuously affected by cannabis smoke inhalation.
Setting out to solve this conundrum, Krystal first began by making a series of tinctures and edible infusions in her lab. From chocolate-covered strawberries to mac and cheese, the cutting-edge trailblazer tested every eating experience under the sun.
However, the experiment that won Matthew’s favor, and would soon do the same to scads of cannabis enthusiasts across the country, was her freshly made, canna-infused juice.
Squeezing the Day
After rounds of refinement and perfection, Juice Joint had its first line of products — five fresh, fruity flavors of unparalleled taste and quality. Lauded as one of the top minority-owned cannabis companies by Rolling Stone Magazine in 2021, Juice Joint has quickly become the go-to choice for enthusiasts who want a smell-free, taste-forward product that doesn’t skimp on effectiveness. Though the company has experienced explosive growth since its beginning as an experiment in Krystal’s lab, Juice Joint maintains its authentic, person-first approach to providing delightful flavors that transform the cannabis experience.
What made cannabis-infused juice the ingenious idea it was, aside from having low overhead costs, was that no other company was providing what Juice Joint offers. Krystal and Matthew, equipped with a steadfast belief in their inventive product, put stickers on the bottles and set off for their first trade show.
That festival, as well as the many that would come to follow, was a resounding success. Cannabis enthusiasts of all types and preferences leapt at the opportunity to enjoy the plant in the form of a healthy, uplifting beverage handmade with care.
It didn’t take long for influencers, journalists, and event organizers to catch wind of Juice Joint, and soon, the company was expanding flavors, product offerings, and distribution locations at a breakneck pace.
Now available online and at 37 locations nationwide, Krystal and Matthew are participating in live events, spreading wellness and good cheer to thousands, nearly every month. To navigate this period of exciting growth seamlessly, the founders have partnered with IBC as Juice Joint prepares to roll out new Delta-9 infusions, subscription boxes, metaverse events, and more.
IBC’s expertise in assisting both established and emerging products will come into play as the advisory group boosts brand awareness through strategic guidance of this groundbreaking, woman-led and minority-owned company. IBC and Juice Joint share a parallel commitment to expanding access to healthy products made from the highest quality ingredients. Through this partnership, Juice Joint is poised to take its place at the forefront of the cannabis industry. Paired with their unique approach to THC and CBD-infused juices, Krystal and Matthew are pioneering new frontiers of flavor in the cannabis industry, offering consumers simpler, more delicious ways to experience the benefits of the plant.
