John Devonport is Managing Partner of IBC and is a beverage industry veteran, having spent 27 years with Guinness internationally in over 80 countries on all continents. He was Marketing Director of Africa and the Caribbean before managing business units in East Africa and the Indian Ocean.
In 2011, Mr. Devonport established Bespoke Brands LLC to import boutique beers/spirits and is currently working with two micro-breweries in the Caribbean and a new UK spirit brand. In 2010, he set up Fine Beverage Inc. with partners to import spring waters from the UK to the USA. From 2002-2009, he set up and managed the Guinness Caribbean business unit from South Florida business development and brewery acquisitions. Mr. Devonport has worked with Diageo, Heineken, and AMBEV INBEV, as their agent, on beer projects in the Caribbean and South America. He established a very successful brewery in the Bahamas linking investors and turnkey operators and remains a consultant to the company. In 2000, he founded Bevcom Inc., a consultancy to the beverage industry in the Caribbean. He has a strong industry network and is fluent in French.
