KANSAS CITY, MO. — (April 18th, 2024) — Restless Spirits Distilling Company, LLC announced today it has entered into a strategic partnership with InterContinental Beverage Capital, (IBC). IBC is a Global Advisory & Capital Formation firm specializing in the beverage and consumer packaged goods industries.
In 2016, Michael and Benay Shannon founded Restless Spirit’s boutique distillery in Kansas City. Today it is a thriving spirit and RTD business that reaches far beyond its KC origins. Its emerging brands Sons of Erin Irish Whiskey and Builders Botanical Gin are sold to a new generation of consumers in major American markets such as Boston, Dallas, Kansas City, and Milwaukee.
IBC offers its partners and clients, a global network with resources and expertise in disciplines such as strategy, planning, brand marketing, product design and formulation, and commercialization among others and will assist Restless Spirits in further developing existing markets while also providing guidance to expand its brand and products into new markets and channels of business.

Last week, Restless and the Boston Red Sox continued their partnership on Opening Day at Fenway Park with a custom-designed Builders Gin bar/kiosk behind home plate. Building upon their innovative multi-year partnership with the Red Sox, Restless Spirits will expand distribution and awareness of its brands in Boston and ultimately across New England.
The Sons of Erin® line of Irish whiskeys includes a 4-year Irish grain whiskey and Sons of Erin X, a 10- year aged blended Irish whiskey finished in rum barrels. Both are sourced from the Great Northern Distillery of Dundalk, Ireland. The Builders® Gin line of products includes the original botanical expression featuring lavender, citrus, and herbaceous flavors, as well as a barrel-finished expression. Coming soon are additional expressions that Benay is currently developing.
“We are ready for this challenge and have been preparing for it since we opened our 18th Avenue distillery over 8 years ago,” said Benay Shannon as she will be ramping up production of Builders Gin and Sons of Erin in the coming months to meet demand.
